Ralf Evers (born February 23, 1965 in Strang , today Bad Rothenfelde ) is a German theologian and social scientist and rector of the Fliedner University of Applied Sciences in Düsseldorf .

Life

Ralf Evers spent his childhood and youth in Versmold and attended the high school of the Jugenddorf Christophorusschule there. After graduating from high school in 1984, he studied Protestant theology at the Bethel Church University , the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg and the Johannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz . There he wrote from 1991 to 1997 his first dissertation and doctorate on Dr. theol. in Protestant theology.

He also studied education with a focus on social education / adult education and gerontology at the University of Heidelberg from 1988 to 1993. He also studied diaconal science there from 1991 to 1995.

From the beginning of 1992 to the end of 1993 he worked as a consultant for university issues at the Christian Youth Village Association in Germany , Ebersbach. From 1992 to the beginning of 1999 he also worked as a freelance theologian, coach and social scientist (interrupted by the vicariate) with a focus on adult education , project management , marketing , public relations in the area of ​​diaconia and church as well as coaching . He completed the vicariate from 1996 to the beginning of 1998 at the practical preparatory service of the Evangelical Church of Westphalia.

From 1999 he was professor at the Evangelical University for Social Work Dresden (FH) for practical theology and intergenerational relationships, from 2004 to 2013 he was rector of the university (re-election 2009). From 2007 to 2009 and from 2011 to 2012 he was President of the Rectors' Conference of Church Universities of Applied Sciences in Germany .

2019 he graduated as Dr. phil. (Social Pedagogy / Educational Sciences) at the TU Dresden .

Since October 1, 2019, he has been Rector of the Fliedner University of Applied Sciences in Düsseldorf .

Ralf Evers is a member of the Scientific Society for Theology , the German Society for Social Work and the German Society for Educational Science . He is also active as a reviewer, u. a. in accreditation procedures from AHPGS , AQAS and WR .

Ralf Evers is married and has three children.
