Ralf Rothenbusch

Ralf Rothenbusch (* 1963 in Zweibrücken ) is a German Roman Catholic theologian .

Life

From 1988 to 1994 he studied Catholic theology in Würzburg , Córdoba (Argentina) and Freiburg im Breisgau . He obtained a degree in Catholic theology in 1994 . From 1994 to 1995 he studied at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem . From 1996 to 1999 he was a lecturer (AT) at the Free University of Berlin . After receiving his doctorate in 1998 in the subject of the Old Testament ( Lothar Ruppert / Burkhart Kienast ). From 2000 to 2002 he was a research assistant in the Collaborative Research Center "Functions of Religion in Ancient Societies of the Middle East" at the University of Münster ( Rainer Albertz ). From 2003 to 2009 he was a research assistant at the AB Old Testament Literature and Exegesis at the University of Freiburg ( Hubert Irsigler ). In 2008 he became a private lecturer in the Old Testament at Theol. Faculty of the University of Freiburg. From 2009 to 2010 he held the chair at the University of Bochum ( Christian Frevel ). From 2010 to 2011 he was a lecturer's representative in the subject AT Introduction in the St. Lambert Study House . Since 2010 he has been the director of studies at the cath. Academy of the Diocese of Mainz, Erbacher Hof . Since 2012 he has been a lecturer in Old Testament exegesis in St. Lambert. In 2016 he was appointed adjunct professor at the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg .
