Ralph J. Boettner

Ralph Joachim Boettner (born February 11, 1923 in Erfurt ; † March 22, 1982 in Berlin ) was a German actor , director and screenwriter .

Life

After finishing school, Boettner began training as an actor in Erfurt. This was followed by stage engagements in Rudolstadt, Arnstadt, Nordhausen, Gotha, Schwerin, Potsdam, Rostock and Berlin. In addition, he played as a film and television actor for DEFA , the television of the GDR and in film productions in socialist brother states. Among them were well-known fairy tale films, where he mostly only played supporting roles like in The Golden Goose the captain of the king, or in How do you marry a king? an ox owner.

In addition to working as an actor, Boettner also directed television films such as Death on the Mississippi , The Explosion on the Maine and Tracker , for which he also wrote the screenplay.
