Ramey Idriss (born September 11, 1911 in New York City , New York , † February 5, 1971 in Los Angeles , California ) was an American songwriter , composer and musician .

Career

Idriss began working as a musician and gained great fame through his participation in The Woody Woodpecker Song for the film Wet Blanket Policy with George Tibbles , which was nominated for an Oscar in the category " best song " at the 1949 Academy Awards. The award was given to Ray Evans and Jay Livingston for their song ( Buttons and Bows ). The Woody Woodpecker Song was then used as the title track for the Woody Woodpecker series and has already been covered several times.
