The Rarbach is an 8.3 km long right tributary of the Henne in the North Rhine-Westphalian Hochsauerlandkreis ( Germany ).
geography
The Rarbachquelle is located on the western flank of the Rimberg southeast of Oberrarbach at an altitude of 673 m above sea level. NHN . From here the stream flows mainly in a north-westerly direction through the villages of Oberrarbach, Föckinghausen , Hanxleden , Kirchrarbach and Sögtrop , before reaching 352 m above sea level. NHN flows into the hen.
The Rarbach overcomes a height difference of 312 m on its 8.3 km long way from the source to the mouth, which corresponds to a mean bed gradient of 37.6 ‰. The stream drains a 13.887 km² catchment area via the Henne, Ruhr and Rhine to the North Sea .
Large parts of the brook run in the Schwormecke nature reserve and the Rarbach section north and west of Sögtrop with the adjacent lean grassland , in the Rarbach nature reserve and sections of the Rarbach from Hanxleden to the south of Oberrarbach .

Flora and fauna
The fauna of the Rarbach mainly consists of the local brown trout and the also local bullhead , but there are also a few rainbow trout .
