Room A113

A113 (sometimes also called A-113, A1-13 or ACXIII) is an inside joke , a so-called " Easter Egg " that can be found in numerous film and television productions. Room A113 is located at the California Institute of the Arts , where animation lectures are held. Many filmmakers such as John Lasseter , Pete Docter , Brad Bird and Andrew Stanton studied there and incorporate this room number at various points in their productions.

  • 1995: Toy Story , as the registration number of the car on which the cowboy doll Woody rides.
  • 1998: The big crawl , printed on a packet of breakfast cereals, A113-1195 is written here.
  • 1999: Toy Story 2 , like in the first part the registration number of Andy's mother's car. There is also a call for “LassetAir flight A113” at the airport.
  • 2001: Monster AG , read on a sign in the background, as Sulley Needleman and Smitty watch a waste compactor load.
  • 2003: Finds Nemo , as the model number of the underwater camera of the dentist who takes a picture of Nemo before he is caught by him.
  • 2004: The Incredibles - The Incredibles , the room number of the Syndrome conference room where Bob meets Mirage. Furthermore, Mr. Incredible is locked in a cell on level A1. His cell has the number 13: A1 + 13.
  • 2006: Cars , seen twice in the film. On the one hand as a label on Hook, on the other hand on a locomotive.
  • 2007: Ratatouille , a member of Remy's family, has a tag on his ear.
  • 2008: WALL · E - The last one cleans up the earth , the instruction "A113" is the order for mutiny by autopilot Otto.

  • 2017: Cars 3: Evolution , on Sterling's office door
  • 2017: Coco - more alive than life! , as a room number on an office door in the land of the dead
  • 2018: The Incredibles 2 , as a title above the cinema.

  • 1999: The giant from space , here A113 is the license plate of a car that was partially bitten by the giants; the 3 is bitten off. There is also a painting in Dean's house that says A113.

  • 2009: Terminator: The Redemption , on the computer screen (as part of the login password) during the raid on the Skynet base, at 9:32 a.m.
