The Raus is created by the confluence of the Bantlibach and Rueschbach near Gänsbrunnen in the canton of Solothurn .
The Grand Rue leads along the Raus, the connecting road between Moutier and Balsthal , whose junction at Gänsbrunnen leads to the Weissenstein pass.
The Raus flows into the Birs at Moutier at 520 meters above sea level .
Catchment area
The Raus flows through two cantons - the canton of Bern and the canton of Solothurn and arises directly in front of the language border.
