Ray J (2011)

Ray J (born January 17, 1981 in McComb , Mississippi ; actually William Raymond Norwood, Jr. ) is an American R&B singer, actor and presenter .

Life

Norwood gained fame in the late 1990s primarily through his involvement in series such as Moesha or One on One . Various film offers in film and television followed; so he was seen in Tim Burton's Mars Attacks (1996).

In the meantime, Ray J kept listening to music from himself. The two albums Everything You Want and This Ain't a Game were successful thanks to the collaboration with The Neptunes , Darkchild and R. Kelly . He also became internationally known in 2001 through the Phil Collins cover Another Day in Paradise in a duet with his sister Brandy .

In the fall of 2005 his third studio album was released with the title Raydiation , which produced his most successful single to date with the release One Wish . In January 2007, Norwood hit the headlines for public appearances with 17-year-old singer Whitney Houston . A month later a sex video of the singer appeared under Vivid Entertainment Group , which shows him and his girlfriend at the time Kim Kardashian .

For the Love of Ray J is a dating show that, like Flavor of Love, applies The Bachelor's format to a rapper. In the show broadcast on US television on VH1 , several women fight for the heart of US rapper Ray J. The show had 26 episodes, which were broadcast in two seasons between February 2, 2009 and February 8, 2010.
