course

The Reedy Fork rises in the Piedmont at 292  m in a pond in the middle of the town of Kernersville in Forsyth County . The river initially flows mainly to the northeast and crosses the border with Guilford County at Berry Water Gardens . It passes Oak Ridge to the north and then turns east south of Summerfield .

Immediately afterwards it is dammed to Lake Brandt . Brush Creek and Horsepen Creek, dammed up to Lake Higgins, flow into this from the right . The outflows of the reservoirs Martin Lake , Hillside Lake , Foster Lake , Hunsuckle Lake and Richardson Lake flow into the left bank . The river leaves the reservoir in the northeast and, after a short run to the east, is dammed into Lake Townsend . The Richland Creek coming from Richland Lake flows into this on the right bank .

Immediately afterwards it flows through two small ponds before it is dammed a little southeast of Lake Townsend to Hardy's Mill Pond . He leaves the reservoir below a bridge on US Highway 29 . The Reedy Fork now flows mainly to the east through Guilford County, where it includes the Buffalo Creek from the right . At Ossipee he crosses the border with Alamance County . The Reedy Fork finally joins the Haw River a little north of Burlington at 178  m from the right.
