Regina Poly
Regina Poly (born August 1, 1942 in Zagreb ; † July 22, 2014 in Berlin ) was a German landscape architect , architect and artist .
Professional background
After completing her architecture studies at the Technical University of Berlin in 1972 , Regina Poly worked in an office community. In 1982 she founded her own office "office regina poly" with a focus on garden and landscape architecture. She achieved numerous competition successes and implemented over 25 projects, mostly in an urban context.
In 1974 Regina Poly was appointed to the Association of German Architects . In 1983 she was entered in the chamber list of landscape architects.
From 2010 to 2013, Poly was a member of the first design council of the state capital Potsdam . During this time, the independent panel of experts assessed over 60 construction projects, most of which were of great urban relevance.
She exhibited her projects and artistic work several times in architecture galleries.
Poly was married to the actor, translator and author Hanns Zischler . She died just ten days before her 72nd birthday on July 22, 2014 in Berlin. Her grave is on the state's own cemetery in Heerstraße in Berlin-Westend (grave location: 16-B-5/6).
