Regina Bogensberger (* 21st August 1959 in Hartberg as Regina Sackl ) is a former Austrian alpine skier .

biography

Sackl , who came from Birkfeld , contested one of her first World Cup races on January 24, 1974 at the slalom in Bad Gastein , where she (at that time 14 years old and about 6 months young) with start no. 65 finished 11th. On March 7, 1974 she was in the slalom at the season finale in Vysoké Tatry with No. 42 eighth.

She won three slaloms in the Ski World Cup in her career . In the 1978/79 season she took first place in the Slalom World Cup.

She took part in the Olympic Winter Games in Innsbruck, where she was eliminated in the slalom on February 11, 1976 in the first run. In the giant slalom on February 13th, she finished 19th - thanks to her third place in the slalom in Kranjska Gora (January 26th), her first podium, she was only nominated for the Olympic team.
