The Southeast region is one of the five regions of the United States that sends participants to the Senior League Baseball World Series . The Southeast region has been taking part in this tournament since 1961, back then under the name Region South . In 2002 the south- west region was replaced by the south region. In 2009 the region was renamed Southeast.
