Florian Reichssiegel
Florian Reichssiegel , occasionally also Reichsiegel (born December 26, 1735 in Salzburg ; † March 15, 1793 in Dornbach near Vienna ) was an Austrian priest and writer.
Little is known about Reichssiegel's childhood and youth. He studied philosophy and theology in Salzburg and completed his studies in 1754 with a master's degree. In the same year he went to the Benedictine monastery of St. Peter in Salzburg as a novice . There he put 1755 the religious vows , and received in 1759 the ordination .
From 1760 Reichssiegel worked as a preacher at the collegiate church and as a secretary in the administration. He was already working as a temporary teacher. From 1761 to 1766 he worked as a professor at the high school in Salzburg and then until 1775 as its prefect.
In 1775 Reichssiegel resigned all school offices and devoted himself increasingly to pastoral care. Here he was active in several localities and parishes that belonged to St. Peter's Abbey.
His last place of work was Dornbach near Vienna. Florian Reichssiegel died there on May 15, 1793 at the age of 58.
