Reiner Kröhnert

Reiner Kröhnert (* 1958 in Schriesheim ) is a German cabaret artist and parodist.

Career

At the age of 19, Reiner Kröhnert first attended the State Drama School in Stuttgart, but left it prematurely. As assistant television editor, he was then jointly responsible for the children's news program Durchblick and in 1979 participated in the Mannheim cabaret The Shower . A year later he got an engagement at Dieter Hallervordens Berlin cabaret stage Die Wühlmäuse .

Together with his future wife and manager Christine, he set out in 1981 to set up their own cabaret group called Barbed Wire . 1983 followed an engagement at the Stuttgart Renitenztheater .

Reiner Kröhnert began his career as a solo artist in 1987 with the program Who is actually the best? , for which he was awarded the Oberschwäbischer Kleinkunstpreis Ravensburger Kupferle in 1989 . His second solo program, Reiner Flew über's Kuckucksnest , was recorded for television in 1993. The stage programs that followed, Die Affäre Huhn , Honnis Rache and Sieben gegen Schröder , cemented Kröhnert's reputation as a political cabaret artist and parodist .

Reiner Kröhnert has been awarded several prizes, for example in 1997 he was named the first prize winner of the Lower Saxony Gaul by the TAK in Hanover . In 2002 he received the Saarland Culture Prize Die Goldene Resonanz . For Angie goes Hollywood , Kröhnert's sixth solo program, he was awarded the cabaret prize of the international cabaret and cabaret festival Lachmesse, Leipziger Löwenzahn , in 2004 . November 2017 started Kröhnert's stage program Kröhnert XXL - Great Parodist Cinema .

Kröhnert specializes in parodies of dozens of well-known politicians and personalities who interact with one another in his programs. In Angie Goes Hollywood , he slipped into the roles of Erich Böhme , Klaus Kinski , Werner Herzog , Angela Merkel , Norbert Blüm , Friedrich Merz , Franz Müntefering , Gerhard Schröder , Peter Struck , Peter Hintze , Daniel Cohn-Bendit , Edmund Stoiber , Michel Friedman , Otto Graf Lambsdorff and Boris Becker , which he imitated in speech, facial expressions and gestures.

Reiner Kröhnert has lived in Rhineland-Palatinate since 1999 and is the father of three children.
