Reinhard Pfaehler von Othegraven (born April 16, 1875 in Frankfurt am Main , † after 1944) was a German landscape painter , graphic artist and illustrator .

Life

Pfaehler von Othegraven stayed in Düsseldorf around 1906 . He mainly worked in Berlin , where he lived in the Friedenau district in 1936 . In 1910 he gained attention through Grunewald landscapes in the style of Walter Leistikow . In 1923, 1925 and 1927 he was represented at the Great Berlin Art Exhibition . In 1930/1931 he was a participant in the Second International Exhibition of Lithography and Wood Engraving of the Art Institute of Chicago , and in 1932 and 1936 in the German Graphic Show of the Leipzig Art Association . He provided illustrations for various books as well as articles for magazines, such as The True Jacob , Jugend and Simplicissimus .
