Reinhold Johann Nasackin (also Nassokin; Russian : Роман Карлович Насакин; born March 27, 1787 in Waddemois , Estonia ; † May 31, 1831 near Ostrołęka , Poland ) was a Russian major general .

Military background

Reinhold Peter Nasackin joined in 1802 as a volunteer cadet in the 3rd Infantry - Regiment of the Imperial Russian Army and was 1804 Ensign promoted. The first war deployment he experienced from 1806 to 1807 in Germany against the French army in the fourth coalition war . His promotion to lieutenant took place in 1807 and the next combat missions were in the Finnish War 1808-1809 . In recognition of his valiant service, he was promoted to captain in 1808 and served in the division of the imperial quartermaster troops . In 1809 he became a major . This was followed from 1812 to 1814 in the war against Napoleon and in the Sixth Coalition War against France , during which time he was promoted to colonel . As a colonel, he took his leave from the Imperial Russian Army in 1816. On February 16, 1824 he was reactivated and served as divisional quartermaster in the 1st Grenadier Division, after which he was employed in the imperial general staff from 1826 to 1827 . On September 21, 1828 he was promoted to major general and was involved in the suppression of the Polish uprising (1830-1831) . On May 14, 1831 he was seriously wounded in the Battle of Ostrołęka in Poland and died as a result of the wound on May 14 May 1831.

Reinhold Johann Nasackin came from the Russian-Baltic aristocratic family Nasackin , who had lived in the Baltic States since the end of the 16th century . He was the son of Carl Johann Nasackin (Nassokin) (1761-1793), who was a lieutenant in the Swedish service and was married to Johanna von Fischbach (1763-1807). His paternal cousin was the well-known writer Friedrich Nasackin (1797 - 1876). Reinhold Johann was married in his first marriage (1810) to Carolina Bergenstråhle (1788 - 1821) and his second marriage (1822) to Lovisia Bergenstråhle (1803 - 1879). Her descendants were:
