Remy Sandoy (born December 13, 1992 in Auckland ) is a New Zealand ice hockey player who has been playing for the West Auckland Admirals in the New Zealand Ice Hockey League again since 2017 .

Career

Remy Sandoy began his career with the West Auckland Admirals in his native city. In the 2010 season he came to his first appearances in the New Zealand Ice Hockey League and was New Zealand runner-up with the team. He then moved to the South Island to Dunedin Thunder , with whom he was able to celebrate the runner-up again in 2014. After this success he returned to Auckland for a year. For the 2016 season he was signed by the Sydney Ice Dogs from the Australian Ice Hockey League , where it only lasted a year. Since 2017 he has been playing in Auckland again.

International

For New Zealand, Sandoy took part in the junior division at the U18 Junior World Championships in Division III in 2008 , 2009 and 2010 and the U20 World Championships in 2012 , when he was top scorer with Icelander Ólafur Björnsson and together with Chinese Zheng Canji, top scorer of the tournament in Division III.

Sandoy made his debut in the men's national team at the 2015 World Cup in Division II, in which he also played in 2016 and 2017 .
