René-Marie-Charles Poirier
René-Marie-Charles Poirier CIM (born October 7, 1802 in Redon , † April 23, 1878 ) was a French Roman Catholic clergyman and Bishop of Roseau .
Life
He was ordained a priest on June 9, 1827. The Pope appointed him Bishop of Roseau on November 12, 1858 . The Archbishop of Port of Spain , Vincent Spaccapietra CM , donated him on February 13 of next year in Port of Spain , the episcopal ordination ; Co - consecrators were Théodore-Augustin Forcade MEP , Bishop of Guadeloupe et Basse-Terre , and James Etheridge SJ , Vicar Apostolic of British Guiana .
He took part in the First Vatican Council .
