René Dumont , also Renée Dumont , (* 1966 in Kaiserslautern ) is a German actor .

Life

René Dumont completed an acting training at the Salzburg Mozarteum . From 1989 to 1993 he was engaged at the Munich children's and youth theater in Schauburg . In the following years he had engagements at the Theater Bremen , the Landestheater Esslingen , the Theater Basel and the Schauspielhaus Hamburg .

From 2001 to 2010 he was a member of the ensemble at the Münchner Kammerspiele , and since the 2011/12 season he has been a member of the ensemble at the Munich Residenztheater . The roles he embodies at the theater include the Marquis von Posa in Schiller's Don Karlos , Ernst Scholz in Der Marquis von Keith , Lacroix in Dantons Tod , Larry in Headless body in topless bar , the title role in Biedermann and the Arsonists and Franz Kafka in Dearest father .

From 2007 to 2016 he embodied the advertising figure of “common sense” for the Austrian supermarket chain Billa . In the season 2019/20, he will be at the State Theater of Lower Austria as a minister in Narbonne The parasite by Friedrich Schiller , a co-production with the City Theater Klagenfurt .
