Renate Jäger
Renate Jäger b. Naussed (born June 17, 1941 in Schillwen / East Prussia (near Heydekrug )) is a German politician ( SPD ) and former member of the Bundestag.
Life
After the end of the Second World War, Renate Jäger initially came to Thuringia as a refugee from East Prussia . After attending the elementary school in Kamsdorf , she graduated from the middle school in Unterwellenborn . She then completed her studies as a lower school teacher at the Institute for Teacher Education in Weißenfels . She then taught in Bad Lauchstädt from 1960 to 1962 . In 1962 and 1963 she qualified as a subject teacher for music at the Berlin Institute for Teacher Training. Jäger then taught as a music teacher at POS in Cossebaude and Gohlis until 1974 . Alongside her job, she was preparing for the Abitur at the Dresden Adult Education Center, which she received in 1966. In 1974 Jäger took up a distance learning course for Russian at the Dresden University of Education. At the same time, she was delegated to Dubna from 1974 to 1976 . After her return, Renate Jäger taught Russian and music at a Dresden POS until 1987. In 1978 she completed her distance learning as a certified teacher. From 1978 to 1990 Jäger worked as a technical college teacher at the Institute for Teacher Training "Edwin Hoernle" in Radebeul .

Renate Jäger was one of the founders of the SDP in Dresden in 1989 . In March 1990 she ran for the SPD for a place in the People's Chamber . She had the promising second place on the list of her party in electoral district 03, Dresden, which was identical to the area of the Dresden district , and was consequently elected as one of four SPD members of this electoral district in the People's Chamber. After this was dissolved, Jäger was initially not one of the 144 members of the Bundestag who were accepted into the Bundestag. For the 1990 Bundestag election , however, she ran again for the SPD and moved into the Bundestag for the first time with second place on the Saxon state list. In the elections in 1994 (2nd on the list), 1998 (4th on the list ) and 2002 (9th on the list), Jäger entered the Bundestag via the state list. In 2005 Renate Jäger did not stand in the early federal election . Since then she has been involved in local politics in Dresden . In 2009 she ran for the Dresden city council election.
