Spanish Republic
In the history of Spain, only the First Republic ( 1873 - 1874 ) and the Second Republic ( 1931 - 1939 ) are commonly referred to as the Republic of Spain or Spanish Republic (República Española) .
In addition, a “Spanish republic” is less often spoken of
