Reveal is the twelfth studio album by the US rock band REM and was released on May 14, 2001 as the successor to Up . The album reached the top of the charts in Great Britain and Germany, among others .

criticism
The reviews have been mostly positive. Joachim Gauger from laut.de reported on "wonderful songs" and a "wonderful melancholy for a mild summer evening". For Konrad Heidkamp the album was a “masterpiece”; the band had “ fulfilled the promise of the magical combination of Enigma , rock mainstream and art.” Matthias Eisen from cdstarts.de said that with Reveal it was also possible to deliver a “good and innovative, atmospheric record”. At metacritic.com the album achieved an average of 76 points based on 20 reviews.
