Out of Time is the seventh studio album by the American alternative rock band REM. It was released on March 11, 1991 under the Warner label.

success

The album received three Grammy Awards and four platinum awards in the United States . To date it has sold more than 10 million copies worldwide and thus represents the international breakthrough of the band from a commercial point of view. Out of Time musically builds a bridge from the more pop and rock- heavy music of the previous album Green to Automatic for the People which also used a variety of elements from folk and country music.

Although there was no tour to support the marketing, the album was a huge success, especially in the USA, Great Britain and Austria - for the first time ever, REM reached number 1 on the chart lists of these countries.

In 2005, a new edition of the album was released, again under Warner Bros. Records. In addition to the original content, an extended booklet and a bonus DVD were included.
