Revolutionary Committee of the Kuomintang

The Revolutionary Committee of the Kuomintang ( Chinese  中國 國民黨 革命 委員會  /  中国 国民党 革命 委员会 , Pinyin Zhōngguó Guómíndǎng Gémìng Wěiyuánhuì ) is one of the eight democratic parties and groups in the People's Republic of China . The party cannot act as an opposition to the government: the democratic parties are neither non-ruling nor opposition parties, but parties involved in government .

The committee was founded in January 1948 by left dissenters from the Kuomintang during the Chinese Civil War . a. by Sun Yat-sen's widow Song Qingling , the longtime chairman. The party sees itself as the legitimate heir to Sun Yat-sen's estate. It had 131,410 members in 2018.

The RKK has 65 of 2,157 seats in the Political Consultative Conference of the Chinese People and sends 43 MPs to the National People's Congress . It has been represented by Wan Exiang as chairman since 2012.
