reception
While the album reached number 73 on the country charts, the single could not maintain the level of its predecessor Break in the Storm . Unlike the titles Never Could and Pour Me a Vacation , released in 1998, none of the songs on the album made it into the charts.
Allmusic praised the mix of danceable rock songs and ballads , but gave the album a rating of three out of five possible stars, but not as good as the Break in the Storm, released a year earlier. John Wooley of Tulsa World called Revolutions a "great album" that had "more soul, integrity and freshness" than the works of other "major label country acts".
Singles
The title San Isabella was the first single release of the album. The music video, which first appeared on Country Music Television , was shot in New Mexico . As with previous works by the band, it was directed by Bob Gabrielsen.
