Reynoldsburg is a city (with a status of " City ") in Fairfield , Franklin and Licking Counties in the center of the US state Ohio . In 2010 Reynoldsburg had 35,893 inhabitants.

According to the 2010 census , Reynoldsburg had 35,893 people in 14,387 households. The population density was 1319.6 inhabitants per square kilometer. Statistically, there were 2.49 people in each of the 14,387 households.

The racial the population was composed of 69.7 percent white, 23.3 percent African American, 0.2 percent Native American, 1.8 percent Asian and 1.3 percent from other ethnic groups; 3.5 percent were descended from two or more races. Regardless of ethnicity, 3.4 percent of the population was Hispanic or Latino of any race.

Public service and culture

The city currently has six elementary schools, two middle schools, two junior high schools, and one high school. The high and junior high school mascot is the raider (a pirate) and its colors are purple and gold.

The Ohio State Department of Landscapes, the Ohio Fire Academy and the State Fire Marshals Office are located in Reynoldsburg.

Reynoldsburg is known as the birthplace of the tomato ("The Birthplace of the Tomato") and since 1965 a "Tomato Festival" has been held every year. The festival currently takes place in August.
