Public service and culture
The city currently has six elementary schools, two middle schools, two junior high schools, and one high school. The high and junior high school mascot is the raider (a pirate) and its colors are purple and gold.
The Ohio State Department of Landscapes, the Ohio Fire Academy and the State Fire Marshals Office are located in Reynoldsburg.
Reynoldsburg is known as the birthplace of the tomato ("The Birthplace of the Tomato") and since 1965 a "Tomato Festival" has been held every year. The festival currently takes place in August.
