Ri Sun-il (born September 24, 1985 ) is a former North Korean ice hockey player .
Career
Ri Sun-il first played with the North Korean U18 team at the U18 World Cup 2000 in Asia-Oceania Division 1 and at the U18 World Cup 2001 in Division I.
He played in the men's national team at the World Championships in Division II in 2003 , 2004 , 2005 , 2006 and 2009 . After the North Koreans were relegated in 2007 without Ri, he played at the 2008 World Cup in Division III and made it back to Division II undefeated. He also represented his colors at the Winter Asian Games 2007 , when the North Koreans took fifth place among eleven participating Teams occupied.
At the club level, Ri played for Taesongsan in the North Korean ice hockey league .
