Riccardo Romani (born December 31, 1987 ) is an Italian biathlete .

Riccardo Romani is a sports soldier and lives in Bormio . He starts for GS Fiamme Gialle , where he is trained by Andreas Zingerle . He competed in his first international races in 2005 as part of the Junior European Cup, which later became the IBU Cup . In 2007 he made it to Cesana San Sicario as third behind Alexis Bœuf and Jean-Guillaume Béatrix for the only time on the podium. He was also in the top ten several times. The first international championships were the 2007 Junior World Championships in Martell, Switzerland, in which the Italian was 56th in the individual, ninth in the sprint race, 25th in the pursuit race and with Claudio Mussner , Daniel Taschler and Harald Egger as the last runner of the season 12th.

Since the 2008/09 season Romani starts in the men's performance area, in the season he was also part of the B-squad of Italy, and remained in this position in the following season . Here he contested his first race in Obertilliach and was 48th in an individual and a sprint race. He won his first point a little later than 40th of a sprint in Martell. In Ridnaun , towards the end of his first season, he was able to improve to 21st place in an individual, which is his best position in the racing series so far. The first international men's championship was the 2012 European Championships in Osrblie .
