Richard Kleffel
Richard Kleffel (born September 25, 1850 in Ragnit , East Prussia , † March 19, 1919 in Berlin-Schöneberg ) was a German medical officer.
Life
From 1860 he attended the Royal Littaui Provincial School . On March 22, 1870, he passed the Abitur examination. For military medical training, he then entered the medical-surgical Friedrich Wilhelms Institute . He took part in the Franco-German War . In 1871 he was in the Corps Alemannia Berlin recipiert . The Friedrich-Wilhelms University doctorate him on August 8, 1874 to Dr. med. On February 23, 1876 license to practice medicine and promoted to assistant doctor on April 27, 1874 , he switched to the Imperial Navy on May 7, 1878 . From October 1, 1884, he worked for two years at the Friedrich Wilhelms Institute. After a commanding at the Charité he was from 1887 to 1892 chief physician of the hospital of the German Imperial Navy in Yokohama . In 1884/85 he was Friedrich Karl von Prussia's doctor . After his death he accompanied the son Prince Leopold on a trip. Most recently he was a marine general doctor (captain at sea) and garrison doctor in Wilhelmshaven . On August 11, 1903, he retired from the service. He retired in Schöneberg. 1906–1909 he worked again as a doctor at the Sülzhayn Knappschaftsheilstätte and at sanatoriums . Reactivated at the beginning of the First World War , he served as chief physician at a hospital for the four years of the war . When he died at the age of 68, he was buried in the Invalidenfriedhof . The grave site was leveled in 1961 for the construction of the Berlin Wall .
