Richard Krieger (born July 24, 1818 in Danzig , † October 15, 1906 in Altona ) was a member of the government and a member of the Reichstag .

Krieger attended high school in Gdansk and studied law and administrative sciences in Berlin from 1837 to 1840 . In 1844 he became a court assessor , in 1845 he transferred to the tax administration. In 1854 he became a councilor to the government in Potsdam . In 1862, Krieger was transferred to the provincial tax office in Poznan , then tax director in Stettin .

In 1861 he was elected to the Prussian House of Representatives as a member of the Progressive Party , first for the second Berlin constituency, then for the constituency Jüterbog - Luckenwalde - Brandenburg , the first Berlin constituency and finally the constituency of Samter-Birnbaum. He resigned this mandate in 1868 because he was appointed customs representative. In the state parliament, Krieger was a regular member of the finance commission, most recently also the budget commission. In 1866 he was a co-founder of the National Liberal Party .

In the Reichstag of the North German Confederation he represented the constituency of Posen (city and country) from 1867, this mandate was declared expired by the Reichstag in 1869. From 1871 to 1877 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the city and district of Poznan.
