Richard Romanus

Richard Romanus (born February 8, 1943 in Barre , Vermont ) is an American actor , screenwriter and film producer .

biography

Richard Romanus was born to Eileen Maloof and Raymond Romano. He has Lebanese ancestry. His younger brother is the actor Robert Romanus . He studied for a year Jura at the University of Connecticut . He then moved to New York City , where he took acting classes at the Actors Studio . After his screen debut in 1968 in the horror film The Ghastly Ones , he had his first major role as Michael Longo on the side of Harvey Keitel , Robert De Niro and David Proval in Martin Scorsese's gangster film Hexenkessel .

Romanus is married to the Oscar-nominated costume designer and film producer Anthea Sylbert .
