The Rioumau is a river in France that runs mainly in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region , but also touches the Occitania region . It rises in the Aubrac landscape , on the municipal boundary of Curières and Saint-Urcize , initially drains in a north-westerly direction, then turns from northeast to east and after around 21 kilometers flows into the Bès as a left tributary at the municipal boundary of Saint-Urcize and Grandvals . The source stream of the Rioumau runs on the border between the Aveyron and Cantal departments , in its mouth section it forms the border between the Cantal and Lozère departments and, both here and at its source, is the border between the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and Occitania regions .
