The Bès is a river in France that runs through the Occitania and Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes regions. Its source is in the Aubrac countryside , near the Signal de Mailhebiau hill , in the municipality of Trélans . The Bès generally drains in a northerly direction through a very sparsely populated area and flows into the Truyère as a right tributary after 67 kilometers in the storage area of ​​the Lac de Barrage de Grandval reservoir , near Auriac , in the municipality of Faverolles . On its way, the river crosses the Lozère and Cantal departments .
