The Rivière des Mille Îles ( French for "River of a Thousand Islands") is a river in the Canadian province of Québec .
The Rivière des Mille Îles forms the northern outflow of the Lac des Deux Montagnes . It flows north around the island of Île Jésus , on which the city of Laval is located, and after about 40 km meets the Rivière des Prairies .
The Barrage du Grand-Moulin is located at the outflow from the Lac des Deux Montagnes . There are numerous islands in the river, including Île Garth , Île aux Vaches , Île Poirier , Île Saint-Pierre , Île Saint-Jean , Île aux Moutons and Île Bourdon . Below Terrebonne , the Rivière Mascouche flows into the river on the left.
