Rob Heaps

Robert "Rob" Heaps (born July 11, 1983 in York , England ) is a British television and theater actor who became known internationally for his role as Ezra Bloom in the US television series Imposters .

Life

Rob Heaps grew up in the English city of York , where he attended St. Peter's School, a prestigious private school. He studied Russian and French at the University of Cambridge . As part of his studies, he completed theater training in Russia at the State Academy of Theater Arts in Saint Petersburg . Until 2009 he took acting classes at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art . During his studies he appeared in several plays, including on well-known stages such as the Royal National Theater and the Theater Royal Bath . In addition to his work for the theater, Heaps works as a radio play speaker for the radio.

His first film appearance was in Jane Campions Bright Star in 2009 . Two years later, Heaps first appeared on television in an episode of Law & Order: UK . In 2014 he got his first lead role in the television drama Frankenstein and the Vampyre: A Dark and Stormy Night . In 2015 he appeared in two episodes of the Agatha Christie adaptation And then there was no more . Heaps played a larger story arc the following year in the British television series Home Fires , and in the second season of the World War I drama he played fighter pilot Tom Halliwell . From 2017 to 2018 he was seen for the first time in an American production in Imposters . In the two-season television series on the cable broadcaster Bravo Heaps played the lead role of Ezra Bloom , who is betrayed by a marriage fraud and then becomes a con artist himself. Since the end of 2019 he has been back in the lead in a US television series in Dare me .

Heaps lives in London.
