Liberté: A Call to Spy is an American drama directed by Lydia Dean Pilcher , which premiered at the Edinburgh International Film Festival on June 21, 2019 and is due to hit US cinemas on October 2, 2020.

In 1940, Winston Churchill hastily founded the espionage organization SOE in order to disrupt the Nazi war machine. Your mission in France is to station spies everywhere for sabotage and subversion. But the British don't have spies for this new type of warfare, and SOE has to resort to recruiting women. The SEO spy Vera Atkins, who has to hide the fact that she is Jewish because the espionage world is also anti-Semitic, recruits two unusual candidates. One is Virginia Hall, an ambitious American with a peg leg, the second Noor Inayat Khan, a Muslim pacifist. The Special Operations Executive for short "SOE" was a British intelligence service special unit during the Second World War , which was formed in mid-July 1940 after the evacuation of British troops from Dunkirk and the fall of France by order of Prime Minister Winston Churchill to wage a covert war.
