Lydia Dean Pilcher (* before 1983) is an American film producer who was nominated for an Oscar . Pilcher is the founder of Cine Mosaic , a production company based in New York .

Life

After Pilcher received her Masters of Fine Arts (MFA) from New York University - College of Film and Television - she began her career in film and television in 1983 with documentaries. Her field of work gradually extended to work on feature films, such as Martin Scorsese's crime comedy Die Zeit nach Mitternacht ( After Hours , 1985), Robert Mandel's F / X - Tödliche Tricks (1986), Bertrand Tavernier's Um Mitternacht ( Round Midnight , 1986) , John Hughes' A Ticket for Two ( Planes, Trains & Automobiles , 1987), Alan Parker's Mississippi Burning (1988) and Robert Redford's Quiz Show (1994).
