Robert "Bob" Adler (born March 24, 1906 in Hoboken , New Jersey , † December 19, 1987 in Glendale , California ) was an American actor .

Robert Alder made his film debut in 1943 and has since appeared in films such as Faustrecht der Prärie . The time when Adler was the busiest in his acting career was the 1950s. He starred in many western films such as the Law of the Prairie , A Ticket to Tomahawk , Outpost in Wild West , The Vultures of Carson City , The Avenger Is Waiting and The New Sheriff , but also in adventure films and comedies . The mustached performer with distinctive facial features played roles as diverse as sheriffs, villagers, coachmen, ranch employees and bandits in smaller roles. Outside of the western genre, he embodied figures of the working class several times.

After the film Warlock in the late 1950s, Adler only appeared predominantly in television series, having previously only rarely shot for television. He played, for example, in the series classics Smoking Colts , Bonanza , The Time Tunnel , A Thousand Miles of Dust and Batman . Adler's last film was typically a western, 1969 Sam Whiskey starring Burt Reynolds . After a guest role on the Medical Center series , he retired from acting.

He died in 1987 at the age of 81 in California.
