Johann Heinrich Robert Boden (born August 18, 1865 in Braunschweig , † August 9, 1943 in Blankenburg (Harz) ) was a German administrative lawyer and politician.

Robert Boden was the son of the director of the sugar refinery in Braunschweig. His brother was the diplomat Friedrich Boden . He was married to Marie Uhde, daughter of the Braunschweig architect Constantin Uhde . Her son was the business manager Hans Constantin Boden .

Life

After attending the humanistic grammar school in Braunschweig, Boden studied law at the Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg, among others . In 1884 he became a member of the Corps Rhenania Freiburg . After completing his studies and the assessor examination, he entered the civil service of the Duchy of Braunschweig and became assessor in 1895/96. As a result, he became Ministerial Secretary and Councilor in the State Ministry in Braunschweig. In 1906 he became district director of the district of Blankenburg . In 1913 he moved to the Braunschweig district in the same position .

At the end of 1913, Boden was appointed Minister of the Interior in the Braunschweig State Ministry as the successor to the seriously ill Adolf Hartwieg . With the November Revolution in 1918 he lost his ministerial office and resigned from civil service. He was a member of the German Men's Club .
