Robert Glenister
Robert Glenister (born March 11, 1960 in Watford , England ; also Robert Glennister ) is a British actor who is best known for his role in the BBC series Hustle .
Life
Private life
Glenister is the son of British television director John Glenister and the brother of actor Philip Glenister , who played DCI Gene Hunt in the series Life on Mars . Glenister has a daughter born in 1987 with his ex-wife, actress Amanda Redman , and a son born in 1996 with his current wife Celia. Glenister's sister-in-law is actress Beth Goddard .
Career
Glenister began his acting career in 1979 and eventually made his first television appearance on the sitcom Sink or Swim a year later . He also took on roles in the series Soldier, Soldier , Doctor Who , Only Fools and Horses , A Touch of Frost , In the Visor of MI5 , Inspector Barnaby and George Gently - The incorruptible . In the cinema he took on minor supporting roles in films such as Jane Austen's seduction or Just Visiting - full throttle into the future . He became known to a wide audience for the role of con artist Ash Morgan in the BBC series Hustle . To date, Glenister is the only actor to have appeared on every episode of the series.
