Robert Kufa (born August 28, 1987 in Prague ) is a Czech beach volleyball player .

Career

In 2005, Kufa finished ninth with Petr Minarek at the World Youth Championship in Saint-Quay-Portrieux . The following year he finished 25th with Filip Habr at the Junior World Championships in Mysłowice . In 2007 he played his first open tournaments on the FIVB World Tour with Pavel Rotrekl . Kufa / Rotrekl. At the European Championships in Valencia they lost their opening game against the Belgians Joosen / Roelandt and then eliminated against the Italians Lione / Varnier . After two more open tournaments with Rotrekl, Kufa formed a new duo with his brother David Kufa in 2008 . They played their first Grand Slam in Klagenfurt . After winning the satellite tournament in Vaduz , they came in 25th at the Open in Kristiansand and Mallorca .

In 2009, Kufa initially competed with Michal Rucka . The duo reached 17th place at the U23 European Championships in Jantarny . With Michal Biza , Kufa completed two Grand Slams and two Open tournaments in 2009. The following year, Kufa / Biza achieved 25th place in Shanghai as their best result . In 2011 Kufa played again with Rotrekl. Except for the Prague Open, they only competed in satellite tournaments and masters. They managed to win a tournament in Constanța . Kufa has formed a duo with Jan Hadrava since 2012 . In their first year together, Kufa / Hadrava came second at the Masters in Novi Sad and won the tournament in Varna . In 2013 they finished ninth in the Grand Slam in Corrientes and won the satellite tournament in Montpellier . At the World Championships in Stare Jabłonki they finished 17th. From 2014 to 2015 Kufa played with Jan Dumek , from 2015 to 2016 with David Lenc and in 2017 again with his brother David.

Kufa also plays volleyball; In the 2013/14 season he was at the Austrian volleyball club Wörtherseelöwen Klagenfurt.
