Robert von Schröder

Emil Friedrich Robert von Schröder (born September 4, 1807 in Kolberg , † August 11, 1894 in Lübchow ) was a German manor owner and politician.

Life

Robert Schröder was a son of the Kolberg merchant Ernst Friedrich Schröder, who in 1812 acquired the Lübchow manor in the principality district . Robert Schröder attended school in Gnadenfeld and the grammar school at the Gray Monastery in Berlin . He studied law and cameralia in Berlin and Heidelberg . After two years at a court, he took over the management of his inherited estate Lübchow after the death of his father. He laid the farm that burned down in 1824 at a new location in the south of the village and built a mansion with a large park. He was chairman of the Körlin - Belgarder Ökonomischen Zweigverein, district deputy and wrote for agricultural newspapers.

From 1859 to 1862 he was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives . In 1861 he was ennobled on the occasion of Wilhelm I's coronation . From 1867 to 1871 Robert von Schröder was a member of the electoral district Köslin 3 ( Fürstenthum district ) in the Reichstag of the North German Confederation . As a result, he was also a member of the Customs Parliament from 1868 to 1870 . He belonged to the Conservative Party .

From 1872 to 1878 he was the first district administrator of the Kolberg-Körlin district, which was newly formed after the division of the Fürstenthum district .
