Roberto Heuchayer Santos de Araújo , called Roberto , (born December 4, 1990 in Picos , Piauí ) is a Brazilian football player . The left foot is used on the left side of defense.

Career

Roberto started his career in the youth team of the EC Bahia . Here the player made the leap into the professional squad in 2009. On May 30, 2009 he was substituted on in the game against Portuguesa in the Série B in the 68th minute.

In December 2013 Roberto was signed by Atletico Paranaense . He was loaned to various clubs for 2014, so he went to Náutico Capibaribe for the championship round .

At the start of the championship season in May 2015, Roberto was loaned to CA Bragantino by Atletico Paranaense . He played 17 games in Série B for the club and returned to Paranaense in August of that year during the current season . He played his first game in the Series A . On September 17, 2015, he was in the starting line-up for the home game against Gremio Porto Alegre . In the 67th minute of the game he was substituted for Sidcley . His first goal in the top Brazilian league he scored in the same season on November 29, 2015. In the home game against Flamengo Rio de Janeiro , Roberto scored in the 12th minute to lead 1-0 (3-0). With the club Roberto also played his first game at international club level. On October 21, 2015, he competed in the 2015 Copa Sudamericana against Sportivo Luqueño . Roberto was in the starting line-up and was replaced in the 80th minute for Daniel Hernández .

For the 2016 season, Roberto started with Paranese in the Primeira Liga do Brasil 2016 and the Paraná national championship . At the beginning of the league in 2016 , Roberto then went to Santa Cruz FC . Santa Cruz had to relegate to the B series at the end of the season. Nevertheless, Roberto extended his contract with the club in January 2017. In July of that year, the contract was terminated and Roberto switched to Chapecoense in the Série A. In the 2018 season Roberto initially played for Chapecoense in the state championship, but was loaned to the Londrina EC in February until the end of the year. At the beginning of August 2018, Londrina decided to end the loan early. That year Roberto played four more championship games for Chapecoense. After not getting beyond the role of reserve player in the national championship, Roberto was loaned to Figueirense FC shortly after the start of the championship in 2019 . At Figueirense he was initially used in four games of the youth team. After playing three more games (no goal) in Série B, Roberto returned to Chapecoense in early September. For the rest of the championship, he played 17 of 21 possible games, with Roberto usually in the starting line-up. After the completion of the Série A 2019 , the club had to relegate and the contract with Roberto not renewed.
