Robia LaMorte (born July 7, 1970 in Queens , New York City ) is an American actress and former dancer .

Life

Robia LaMorte was born in Queens, New York, but grew up in the Florida Keys and moved to Los Angeles with her family in 1982 . There she trained as a dancer at the Roland DuPree Dance Academy in Hollywood .

LaMorte toured Europe as a background dancer in the 1980s with the Pet Shop Boys and from 1991 to 1992 with Prince , where she performed under the pseudonym "Pearl". She also appears in some of the music videos on Prince's album Diamonds and Pearls (1991).

She made her debut in a minor supporting role in the 1988 comedy film Zebo, the Third from the Center of the Stars , in which she starred alongside Geena Davis and Jeff Goldblum . She played one of the leading roles in the film Fox Hunt (1996). LaMorte was her role as Jenny Calendar in the series Buffy - the Vampire Slayer ( Buffy The Vampire Slayer ), in which she played in 1997 and 1998 in 14 episodes, known. This was followed by a leading role in the comedy Chicks, Man (1999). She has appeared in many TV series such as Beverly Hills, 90210 and CSI: On the Trail of the Criminals .
