Roksana Zasina

Roksana Zasina (born August 21, 1988 ) is a Polish wrestler . In 2013 she became European champion in the weight class up to 51 kg.

Career

Roksana Zasina started wrestling as a teenager in 2003. She belongs to the ZTA Zgierz sports club and is trained by Marian Filipowicz. She is a student and lives e.g. Currently from wrestling. At a height of 1.64 meters, she wrestles alternately in the weight classes up to 51 kg and 55 kg in the free style customary for women.

She achieved her first outstanding results in 2008. In that year she was Polish junior runner-up in the weight class up to 51 kg. In the same year she was then used at the Junior World Championships in Istanbul in the same weight class and came there on the 8th place. In October 2010, she took part in the Women's World Cup in Tokyo, but only came 16th as a newcomer.

In 2009 she took 3rd place in the Polish Women's Championship. In September 2009 she competed in the women's world championship in Herning / Denmark in the weight class up to 51 kg and came in 12th there. In 2010 she was the first Polish champion in the weight class up to 55 kg. At the 2010 World Championships in Moscow, however, she started again in the weight class up to 51 kg, where she won over Babita Kumari , India and Jessica Medina , United States. Then she lost to Yu Horiuchi from Japan and in the battle for a bronze medal also against the 2009 world champion Sofia Mattsson from Sweden, finishing in 5th place.

In 2011 Roksana Zasina competed at the European Championships in Dortmund, but lost her second fight against Yekaterina Krasnowa from Russia there. Since this did not reach the final battle, she was eliminated and only came in 9th place. She was not used at the 2011 World Cup. At the European Championships in 2012, she just missed the medal ranks with a 5th place. In the battle for a bronze medal, she lost to Ana Maria Paval from Romania. She could not qualify for participation in the Olympic Games in London. She started at the 2012 World Championships in Stathcoona County / Canada, but lost there after winning a fight against Alyssa Lampe from the United States and reached 8th place.

Roksana Zasina achieved the greatest success in her career to date at the 2013 European Championships in Tbilisi, where she won the weight class up to 51 kg with victories over Eileen Friedrich, Germany, Isabelle Pascale Ladeveze, France, Jekaterina Krasnowa and Estera Dobre , Romania European championship title.

Roksana Zasina was also three times in a row Polish champion in the weight classes up to 51 and 55 kg body weight between 2010 and 2012.
