Roland Bimo

Roland Bimo (born March 31, 1954 in Tirana ) is an Albanian diplomat and since 2014 Ambassador of the Republic of Albania in Austria .
education
Roland Bimo studied at Tsinghua University in the People's Republic of China . At the Faculty of Electrical Engineering , he specialized in information technology and received a diploma there .
He has a master's degree (thesis: European security architecture and the OSCE ) from the University of Tirana , where he also received his doctorate (thesis: Albania and the new security architecture ). There he studied at the Faculty of History and Philological Studies in the Department of History.
Professional career
Between 1978 and 1982 Roland Bimo worked as an engineer for the state oil company in Albania. He was also employed in the Institute of Applied Mathematics of the Academy of Sciences of Albania and in the Ministry of Finance.
Bimo has mostly been active in the diplomatic service since 1982.
