Rolf Hugo Dörig (born May 19, 1957 ) is a Swiss manager . He is Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Swiss Life Group and Adecco .

Rolf Dörig graduated from the canton school Enge and studied law at the University of Zurich , where he obtained his doctorate in 1985 under Max Keller . He was admitted to the bar of the Canton of Zurich . He later graduated from Harvard Business School .

In 1986 he joined Credit Suisse, a major bank , where he assumed management positions in various business areas. From 2000 he was a member of the Executive Board of the Credit Suisse Group and responsible for corporate and retail business in Switzerland. In 2002 he was Chairman Switzerland of the bank.

From November 2002 to May 2008 Dörig was President of the Executive Committee of the life insurer Swiss Life , from May 2008 to May 2009 Delegate of the Board of Directors. Since May 2009 he has been Chairman of the Board of Directors of Swiss Life Holding AG. He is also Chairman of the Board of Directors of Adecco, the world's largest recruitment agency . At Kaba Holding AG (security company) he is Vice President, at Walter Frey Holding AG and at wood producer Danzer AG he is a member of the board of directors. He is a member of the executive committee of the Economiesuisse business association and a member of the central board of the Grasshopper Club Zurich, where he was chairman from 2004 to 2009. Dörig was a member of the Friends of the FDP . Later he became a member of the Foundation for Civil Politics , the purpose of which is to support the SVP financially , and thus became a close confidante of the SVP leadership. From 2003 to 2008 he was a board member of the Swiss Insurance Association (SIA). In November 2017, Rolf Dörig was elected President of the Swiss Insurance Association (SIA). In addition, Dörig was a board member of the Zurich Chamber of Commerce from 2003 to 2014 and from 2012 to 2015 he was President of the Zurich Economic Society (ZHVG).

Dörig is married, has three sons and lives in Küsnacht . In the Swiss Army he is a Colonel in the General Staff . In his free time he plays tennis, skis and goes to the opera.
