Roman Nikolajewitsch Oksjuta ( Russian Роман Николаевич Оксюта ; born August 21, 1970 in Murmansk , Russian SFSR ) is a former Russian ice hockey player .

Career

During his Soviet time he played with Chimik Voskressensk . In the 1989 NHL Entry Draft , he was selected in the 10th round in 202nd position by the New York Rangers . In 1993 he moved to the Edmonton Oilers in the National Hockey League . Other stations in his career in the NHL were the Vancouver Canucks , Mighty Ducks of Anaheim and the Pittsburgh Penguins . In 1997 Oksjuta went to Norway to join Furuset Ishockey . In 1998/99 he played for the Finnish clubs Kalevan Pallo and Rauman Lukko . In 1999 he returned to Voskressensk, where the striker ended his active career in 2006.

Oksjuta he was appointed several times to the Soviet U20 national ice hockey team. He took part in the Junior Ice Hockey World Championship in 1989 and the Junior Ice Hockey World Championship in 1990 . His international career was crowned with a gold medal in 1989 . In 1991 he played for the men's national team at the Germany Cup . Furthermore, he took for Russia at the 1996 Men's World Ice Hockey Championships in part.
