Romuald Kamiński (born February 7, 1955 in Janówka , Podlaskie Voivodeship , Poland ) is a Polish Roman Catholic clergyman and bishop of Warsaw-Praga .

Life

The auxiliary bishop in Warsaw , Jerzy Modzelewski , ordained him a priest on June 7, 1981 . He was secretary to Jozef Glemp during his tenure as Archbishop of Warsaw . With the establishment of the diocese of Warsaw-Praga on March 25, 1992, he was incardinated in its clergy and was chancellor of this diocese.

Pope Benedict XVI appointed him on June 8, 2005 titular bishop of Aguntum and auxiliary bishop in Ełk . He was ordained bishop by the Apostolic Nuncio in Poland, Józef Kowalczyk , on June 23 of the same year; Co- consecrators were Kazimierz Romaniuk , Bishop Emeritus of Warsaw-Praga, and Jerzy Mazur SVD , Bishop of Ełk. As a motto he chose Sub Tuum Praesidium .

On 14 September 2017 it appointed Pope Francis to Coadjutor Bishop of Warsaw-Praga. With Archbishop Henryk Hoser's resignation on December 8, 2017, he succeeded him as Bishop of Warsaw-Praga. The official inauguration took place on January 20 of the following year.
