Ronald Sinclair

Ronald Sinclair (born January 21, 1924 in Dunedin , New Zealand , † November 22, 1992 in Woodland Hills , USA ) was a New Zealand child actor and later film editor and sound engineer . During his acting career, he also appeared under the stage name Ra Hould and Ron Sinclair on.

life and career

Ronald Sinclair made his film debut in the New Zealand flick Down on the Farm . At the age of 12 he came to Hollywood, where he quickly became a well-known child and youth actor. Sinclair starred in numerous successful films, for example William A. Wellman's The Light That Failed , the horror film The Executioner of London with Basil Rathbone and Boris Karloff , Alexander Korda's Lord Nelson's last love and Raoul Walsh's sabotage order Berlin with Errol Flynn .

After fighting as a soldier on the side of the Allies during World War II , he resumed his work in 1955 and began a long and fruitful collaboration with producer Roger Corman , no longer as an actor but as a film editor. Sinclair edited Corman's first work Four Women in the Swamp , and worked on numerous other films such as The Last Seven , Secret Order Dubrovnik , The Intruder , The Raven - The Sorcerer's Duel and the psychedelic cult film The Trip . Sinclair also edited many other low budget productions such as The Colossus , Invasion of the Saucer Men , Giant of Horror , Attack of the Puppet People and Revenge of the Black Spider .

Ronald Sinclair died of respiratory failure in 1992 at the age of 68 . He left behind his wife Carol and a son.
